Got Milk? Hopefully Not.

I have something here much better than milk, but first lets talk about why not milk…Research indicates that milk actually gives us weaker bones!  Ms. Goldsmith’s article highlights studies indicating that milk actually increases the risk of bone fractures:

“Here’s how it happens. Like all animal protein, milk acidifies the body pH which in turn triggers a biological correction. You see, calcium is an excellent acid neutralizer and the biggest storage of calcium in the body is – you guessed it… in the bones. So the very same calcium that our bones need to stay strong is utilized to neutralize the acidifying effect of milk. Once calcium is pulled out of the bones, it leaves the body via the urine, so that the surprising net result after this is an actual calcium deficit”.  Click here to see article

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but if you think this is bad….it gets much worse.  Consuming milk is also directly related to the cause of acne, asthma, osteoporosis, diabetes, ear infections, and cancer (just to mention a few).   Luckily, our body is amazing at how efficiently it works and how it has the capability to heal itself when given the proper foods to support the healing process.  So instead of drinking milk here are some delicious alternatives to make yourself:  Almond Milk, Cashew Milk and Hemp Seed Milk!!  Not only is it so simple to make, but it tastes so yummy…Here are the recipes, Enjoy!
